All attendees, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, crew and staff at our conference are required to agree with the following code of conduct, it is based on your entrance to the event, purchase of your ticket, free or no cost ticket, gifts, the very fact that your at the event. “Entrance to the event” If you are attending the “Texas Cyber Summit” conference you are subject to this Code of Conduct, no exceptions, if you disagree, please don’t attend, if you disagree do not attend.
Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensuring a safe environment for everybody.
Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is never appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, social media and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned and expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Harassment includes any offensive verbal or gestured comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. You are NEVER allow to photograph guests with out their prior approval, violation will require you to provide us with access to your device to remove said imagery and you will be removed from the conference.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Those participants that do not comply or have more than one strike will be ejected from the event with-out a refund and a ban from all future events.
Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including law enforcement involvement, a warning to the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund, up to and including a ban from future events.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately or the Police. Conference staff will have Shirts clearly marked as conference staff and for online portion of the conference will be listed as operators and moderators in our Discord Server.
Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value you and your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events. Personal Responsibility is another key factor at any event, please treat others with respect, and should an adversarial confrontation take place you should leave and report it, not antagonize and escalate the issue.
While we take every precaution to ensure a safe and harassment free environment we can not guarantee it, we can not and will not be held liable in an form or fashion.
