Cronin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Matt Cronin currently serves as Director of National Cybersecurity in The White House\u2019s Office of the National Cyber Director.\u00a0 In this role, Matt helps lead the nation\u2019s efforts to overcome cybersecurity threats and ensure that the United States is a leader in key emerging technologies.\u00a0 He joins the Office of the National Cyber Director on detail assignment from the Department of Justice, where he serves as the National Security &amp; Cybercrime Coordinator.\u00a0 Prior to that role, Matt was an Assistant United States Attorney (federal prosecutor).\u00a0 In that position, he primarily prosecuted transnational, cyber, and cryptocurrency cases.\u00a0 Several of Matt\u2019s prosecutions have been announced by the U.S. Attorney General and he has received a number of national awards for his work, including at The White House.\u00a0 His prosecution of a Chinese transnational criminal group was also featured on <em>60 Minutes<\/em>.\u00a0 Matt has additionally published journal articles on cryptocurrencies, the dark net, and autonomous systems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"parent":0,"template":"","meta":[],"speaker_cat":[120,121],"speaker_type":[46],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.6 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Matthew J.
